The Scott Anderson Music Scholarship provides aspiring artists with the instruments, mentorship, and education they need to pursue their passion and reach their full potential.
Scott Anderson was a musician in every sense of the word. His profound love of music began when he was just nine years old, when his dad gave him his first guitar. From that moment forward, music became a lifelong passion, a creative outlet, and one of the greatest ways Scott connected with the world around him.

Scott continued to grow as a musician throughout his life, including studying guitar at the Guitar Institute in California, and eventually becoming a beloved part of the Atlanta music community. He played with numerous Hollywood and local bands, shared stages with countless musicians, and, perhaps most importantly, encouraged and mentored others who shared his love of music.
​
Scott had a way of making people feel connected-to the music, to one another, and to him. He was deeply loved and cherished by his family, friends, fellow musicians, and the many people whose lives he touched.
​
In July 2026, Scott’s life was unexpectedly and heartbreakingly cut short at age 57. While we are still learning how to live with his absence, we don’t want his story-or his love of music-to end with him.

The Scott Anderson Music Scholarship was created to carry that love forward.

We are dedicated to honoring Scott Anderson’s legacy by carrying forward his lifelong love of music and his belief in the power of connection, creativity, and mentorship.
Through the Scott Anderson Music Foundation, we provide Atlanta’s youth and aspiring musicians with access to the instruments, education, mentorship, and opportunities they need to pursue their passion for music and reach their full potential.
Music gave Scott a place to express himself, connect with others, and inspire the people around him. His generosity of spirit and willingness to share what he knew left a lasting impact on countless musicians and friends. Through this foundation, Scott’s journey continues and he gets to keep paying it forward by helping create opportunities for the next generation of musicians.
